Fact-Checking or Research
This service requires a consultation. Please email your editor with the type of fact-checking or research you would like. This may require a few emails back and forth, but once your editor has a better understanding of what you are looking for, they will offer you a quote.
Fact-Checking: This service can check the accuracy of historical (names, dates, events), scientific, and biographical facts used in your manuscript. It can also check that the clothing, architecture, and/or weapons used in the manuscript are accurate for the location and/or era in which the novel is set.
Research: This service would most likely be done at the beginning of the writing process, and it would be a much broader approach than fact-checking. This service would provide you with a summary of information or a timeline (with the related sources included) that you could use to base your story around.
